ABOUT EPICS

EPICS is a service-learning design program in which teams of students partner with NGOs, local and global community organizations and design, build, and deploy real systems to solve engineering-based problems for local community service and education organizations. SREC is offering EPICS as an open elective since 2013. The institution has Memorandum of Understanding with IUCEE and Purdue University for EPICS programme.

EPICS is an activity course in which teams of students from across campus work together on long-term projects that benefit the community. Project work centers on the engineering, technology, and computing needs of a community partner, and interdisciplinary team interaction is an integral element for project success. Teams are composed of first year students through seniors from any disciplines.
